Antony Cairns, Lucas Leffler, Marianne Maric
The Intervalle gallery presents an exceptional group exhibition at Paris Photo, booth D19 (main sector), featuring new works by Marianne Maric, Antony Cairns, and Lucas Leffler.
Antony Cairns (1980, England) offers an experimental vision of the megacity through night photography. His collotypes, printed on traditional Japanese Echizen Gampi paper and accompanied by their original glass plates, reinvent the contemporary city in a rare dialogue between innovation and ancestral know-how. His works are held in prestigious collections such as the Victoria & Albert Museum (London) and the MEP (Paris).
Lucas Leffler (1993, Belgium) explores the history of photography and the intersections between art and science. With projects such as Zilverbeek and Implosion, he transforms unexpected materials, such as silver mud and used iPhone screens, into sculptural photographic works, combining industrial memory and analog experimentation. His creations are featured in institutions such as the FOMU (Antwerp) and the Musée de l'Élysée (Lausanne).
Marianne Maric (1982, France) explores the sensuality and performativity of the female body through works that combine sculpture, photography, and performance. Her series Femmes Fontaines and Pain reinvent everyday gestures and celebrate women's sovereignty in dialogue with references from art history. Her works have been exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo, the Athens Biennale, and the FRAC Bretagne and Limousin.
