Since 2014, Intervalle has campaigned for a dozen French and foreign artists and promotes their works. The gallery, dedicated to the photographic medium, connects new buyers, collectors, amateurs and institutions with the artists who inspire it.
Intervalle is particularly interested in the politics of images. In the tradition of Alfredo Jaar (1956), a Chilean artist who affirms: "I have never been able to create a single work of art that comes from my imagination", the artists represented by Intervalle produce a work rooted in their time, sometimes in the news. They build, according to their projects, a proposal that enlightens our view of the world.
In the spring of 2021, Intervalle left its first address, rue Jouye-Rouve, on the slopes of Belleville in Paris. It continues to present its artists in the most demanding salons (Paris Photo, Art Paris, Unseen Amsterdam, Approche Paris) and will open a new space in Paris in 2022.
