Julien Mignot
In November 2017, Galerie Intervalle participated in the first edition of the Approche art fair, held November 9–12, with a solo exhibition dedicated to Julien Mignot. The fair, conceived as a new Parisian event dedicated to contemporary photography, brought together fourteen artists presented by thirteen galleries.
Intervalle presented 96 Months, a personal project in which Julien Mignot compiled 96 photographs taken between 2008 and 2016—one image per month. Drawn from his archives, these images were not originally part of his commissioned work and constitute a collection of intimate moments, encounters, landscapes, and scenes captured during his travels. The installation combines twelve prints with a lightbox containing the 96 photographs, accompanied by an original musical composition. This presentation at the Approche fair precedes by a few days the exhibition 96 Months at Galerie Intervalle, where the project will be on view from November 10, 2017, to March 3, 2018.
