When she showed them to Andréa Montano, a photographer, the idea of making prints emerged: Andréa was then working on setting up a film darkroom in Aubervilliers. Together, they experimented with the negatives while learning the technique of four-handed printing. The thread running through the “Heat” series follows the color spectrum: from “warm” blue to icy red, where color depends on the temperature of objects and radiation. Laure-Anne (AREA Books) discovered the first proofs and proposed a book to be published in early February 2023. Tracks continues the adventure during lockdown: in the studio in Clichy, they set up flowers and create carbon prints, linking astrophysics and botany. Under black light, the petals reveal phosphorescent traces linked to pollination, becoming images of kinship between the plant and mineral worlds, between celestial bodies and terrestrial offspring.
