Ellas - Album II

Back

Karen Paulina Biswell's Ellas series, unveiled in France, explores female identity through performative photography. Her works, now part of prestigious collections such as those of the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris and the Perez Art Museum in Miami, are based on elements of her Amerindian culture. In her work, Biswell questions femininity by depicting flowers as symbols of power, beyond their simple aesthetic. Her images deconstruct traditional perceptions by transforming body parts into totems and mouths into oracles, inviting us to rethink the expression of contemporary femininity.
