Biography
Karen Paulina Biswell was born in 1983 to Colombian parents who
emigrated to Paris to escape the extreme political violence of the early
90. The artist divides her time between Bogota and Paris. She explores
morality, human destiny and the notion of femininity.

showing her latest project "KIMA", a collaboration with Maria Amilbia
Siagama Siagama, guardian of the memory of the Embera community. In
November 2021, she will take over one of the rooms of the famous Parisian hotel
rue de Seine, for an installation-performance with her alter-ego
alter-ego AICANON, entitled Villa Eden, curated by Pascal
Beausse. In 2018, the photographic residency program of the Musée du
Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, enabled her to carry out her project "Chère
Pipi," in French Guiana. Continuing the themes addressed in this work
during her stay in China - the body as an interface for understanding
