Les Computer Puch Cards sont une des pratiques expérimentales d'Antony Cairns pour décrire sa vision de la ville. Antony Cairns, adepte des pratiques non orthodoxes en photographie, utilise la plupart du temps un appareil photo 35 mm à pellicule noir et blanc. Il développe les négatifs à l’envers, transformant les images en positifs en noir et blanc. Ensuite, il numérise les résultats et choisit des supports qui conviennent à l'esthétique de l'image. Ici, en utilisant des cartes perforées d'ordinateur produites par IBM dans les années 1960-70. Ses techniques rendent le paysage urbain méconnaissable, mêlant rues familières à une atmosphère surnaturelle, dépourvues de présence humaine et enveloppées d’une brume éthérée. Cairns souhaite que ses œuvres soient perçues comme une interprétation artistique de la réalité, quel que soit le lieu ou le moment, offrant au spectateur une vision unique de la ville.
