To mark the bicentennial of photography, Intervalle is presenting a solo show by Lucas Leffler (Belgium, 1993) in the main section of Paris Photo. After six years of collaboration and three joint participations in Paris Photo, the artist and the gallery are presenting a new body of work this year dedicated to the evolution of the photographic medium. Most of the works on view are new and one-of-a-kind. Since the beginning of his career, Lucas Leffler has explored the history of contemporary photography, particularly the transition from analog to digital. Through experimental works, he explores the transformations in techniques, media, and our relationship with images. For this new exhibition, the history of Kodak serves as a central theme: it allows the artist to concretely address the technological shift that has profoundly transformed photography.
