Guillaume Delleuse
From April 6 to 30, 2022, Guillaume Delleuse is participating in 100% L’Expo at the Grande Halle de La Villette, an exhibition dedicated to emerging artists that brings together, in particular, recent graduates of the École nationale supérieure de la photographie d’Arles.
Delleuse presents Corpus, a black-and-white photographic series exploring the body and its relationship to urban space. Photographed up close, the bodies become forms, surfaces, and signs: tattoos, gestures, postures, and fragments of skin come together to form an intimate cartography of the city. Straddling the line between documentary observation and graphic composition, her images also explore the forms of identity, marginality, and sacredness that permeate public space.
Her participation in 100% L’Expo thus marks the recognition of an already distinctive practice, grounded in instinctive, physical photography that is deeply attuned to those who inhabit the city.
