Biography
Julien Mauve, visual artist and musician, has won several awards including the SFR Jeunes Talents in 2013, the Sony World Photography Award in 2016 and the Bourse Du Talent in 2018. He has published two books with éditions Poursuite, L'Indifférence des étoiles (2016) and Titanic Orchestra (2017). Julien Mauve masters the subtle art of patiently constructing series. Like variations on the same musical theme, the photographic narratives imagined by the artist all point to the same dystopia. In visual settings often inspired by myths and legends, his images raise the question of our future in the face of the threats facing our civilization. What will the world be like without us?
