The REVO series of works traces the decline of Kodak following the upheaval caused by the rise of digital technology in the 2000s. The images, retrieved from YouTube, show the public collapse of buildings being demolished, filmed by factory workers using the digital cameras of the time. On a bright day, the spectacle of this demolition was described by the Kodak group with a phrase that inspired the title of the project: “What a nice day for a revolution.”

The artifacts specific to the low definition of this emerging technology blend with the chemical rendering of the wet collodion print. This old photographic technique was itself rendered obsolete by Kodak film at the end of the 19th century, which brought photography into the industrial age. REVO observes the successive obsolescence of imaging technologies and attempts to reconcile them by creating works with hybrid properties.
